Winter Bachelorette Ideas
Winter is a magical time of the year. Snow falling, fire crackling and the crisp cold air always brings a smile to my face. As one of the few people who fully embraces the winter, I think it is the perfect time to travel and explore. While being outside may not be the best way to spend your full day, I’ve put together a list of different ways to spend your winter bachelorette including themes, activities, outfits and locations.
Winter Bachelorette Cities
First you are going to want to select the destination for your winter bachelorette! From the mountain to the slopes to the city there are endless options for you to choose from. My favorite winter bachelorette destinations are:
Aspen, Colorado
Chicago, IL
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Lake Tahoe, California
Park City, Utah
Winter Bachelorette Themes
For themes it is great to go with something that fits the locations and activities you will be doing on your trip. Some great themes for a winter bachelorette include:
Snow in Love – This wintery theme is perfect for a snowy destination! Blue, Silver and White décor will bring this theme to life. Make sure to add lots of snowflakes, sparkles and lots of snow puns.
Flannels and Fizz – The theme fits into most winter/cabin/mountain bachelorettes. There is an endless amount of décor and outfits that can fit in!
Mountain Bash- If you’ve picked a mountain destination, then it’s time to throw the ultimate mountain bash! Decorate with greens, flannel, mountain peaks and trees.
Party on the Peaks- Planning a ski trip for your bachelorette? This theme brings together the après ski vibe you’re looking for
Holly Jolly Bachelorette- Getting married in January? If your bachelorette falls right before the holidays this theme is perfect for you. Lots of red, green and plaid will bring your Holly Jolly Bachelorette to life. Don’t forget all the holiday décor and lights!
Winter Bachelorette Activities
Once you have your location and theme selected it's time to plan out how you want to spend your trip! Since it will be during winter you should have a nice split on indoor and outdoor activities so no one freezes. Below are a few ideas for winter bachelorette activities:
Hit the Slopes
If you are staying near a ski resort, I would highly suggest planning a day or half day on the slopes. The group can choose between skiing or snowboarding and can get lunch and drinks at the resort to help break up the day.
Snow Tubing
This is perfect for the group that isn’t into snow sports, but still wants to spend time in the snow. Usually, 1-2 hours is enough time for this and most tubing hills sell tickets by the hour. This is a great group activity and budget friendly as well.
Spa Day
After spending time outside in the cold, you are going to be looking for some much-needed rest and relaxation inside. Spend an afternoon at the spa getting facials, massages, hanging in the sauna and sipping on champagne.
Private Chef Cooked Dinner
Invite a professional chef to come into your house and cook you a meal. This is a perfect way to elevate your time indoors. The crew can get all dressed up and hang by the fire while the chef gets everything prepared for you.
Go on a Hike
If you have selected a mountain destination then a hike it a must do! This is the perfect time to dress up in your matching flannels or sweatshirts and explore the outdoors.
Hot Cocoa Bar
Build your own hot cocoa bar to enjoy by the fire inside or outside. Add fun topping like whipped cream, peppermint, sprinkles, and marshmallows. Don’t forget to add some baileys or peppermint schnapps to make them boozy!
Go Ice Skating
Put on your matching beanies and hit the rink! This is a great group activity that is perfect for pictures and fits in everyone's budget.
S’more Bar
Build a fire and get roasting your marshmallows! Set-up a s’more’s bar with graham crackers, different types of chocolates, flavored marshmallows, cookies and candy.
Winter Bachelorette Outfits
Now that you have your trip planned it is time to talk outfits! Matching shirt or hats are always a must for a bachelorette crew. Here are my favorite winter themed tops and hats:
Beanies
Sweatshirts
Shirts
